Adventurous Babes Society’s Co-Founder, Kathy Corbin Mihelic, was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. Kathy graduated with a marketing degree from The University of Colorado, Boulder. She received her Master’s Degree in Business from Wichita State University.
Kathy has been married to Dan, her college sweetheart, for 24 years. She and Dan have two children, a boy and a girl, who are students at the University of Kansas. As a tennis player growing up, Kathy competed in both high school and college and went on to be a tennis instructor and coach for several years. Over the past 20 years, Kathy has been a full-time working mom in various sales positions in both the office furniture and healthcare industries. During her sales career, and at national sales meetings, she often found herself to be one of the last ones to leave the dance floor. On the first Adventurous Babes Society’s snowshoeing trip, Kathy earned the nickname “Pinky” when she showed up at the airport wearing her bright pink cowboy boots.
Although climbing mountains is her one of her favorite passions, Kathy’s latest big adventure was earning the right to call herself an Ironman Triathlete or an “Extreme Babe” (or Extremely Insane Babe). . That’s right, she swam 2.4 mile miles, rode her bike 112 miles, and then ran 26.2 miles… all in one day! The Adventurous Babes Society has helped her usher in these “mid-life” crisis years by adding in a new dimension and outlook on life as well as help her form so many wonderful new friendships!!
