Champion of Fun

A Champion of Fun, or COF, is an ABS member who believes in the mission of the organization and strives to help women step out of their comfort zone and try new things. A COF is an Event Planner, and is committed to and enjoys planning, organizing, coordinating, and hosting adventures that fall within ABS guidelines. She believes that wondrous things happen when one steps out of her comfort zone. She believes in the empowerment process of being adventurous. She is open to new ideas, new people, and new things. She is welcoming, kind, friendly, and most importantly, supportive of all ABS members. Area Team Directors will determine the appropriate number of COFs for her team although each team typically begins with one Area Team Director and two COFs. A COF is an Independent Contractor who is given the entrepreneurial opportunity to create adventures within ABS guidelines.

Primary responsibilities
• Act as ambassador of Adventurous Babes Society in promoting and protecting the ABS brand and mission
• Plan, coordinate, organize, and manage all aspects of at least 2 adventures per month according to ABS guidelines
• Host your adventures and help other COFs when needed
• Work under the guidance of the Team Director with the team of COFs to plan a calendar of adventures that vary in activity, price point, and availability
• Promote ABS kindness, acceptance, and sense of adventure

• Excellent communication skills, oral and written
• Makes informed business decisions
• Comfortable negotiating for better pricing and opportunities
• Detail oriented

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Owns an up-to-date personal computer
• Personal PayPal account (in which to have funds transferred)
• Google Gmail account
• Smart phone
• The ability and memory space to download apps and programs to streamline your work processes. (examples: Slack, Dropbox, Scanner, Facebook, QR Scanner, and enough picture and video storage (or have a place in which to store), and other tools as needed)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to fund events until reimbursed (typically within one week of completed event)
